White label online ordering is a brand decision. The guest should land on something that looks like your restaurant, pay on a URL you can stamp on a box, and come back without opening a marketplace that also sells the shop two doors down. If that is not the job, you are shopping DoorDash or Slice. Say so out loud.
Independents search white label online ordering after the marketplace lesson: the listing works for strangers, the regular gets trained to tap someone else’s app, and the guest list does not come home. This post is the storefront side: domain, chrome, accounts, loyalty. The kitchen board is white label restaurant ordering.
MicroSky Food does the branded-checkout job with a wizard aimed at about 10 minutes, your processor, and the printer you already have. We will not invent DoorDash or Slice take-rates. Pull the statements. Compare them to published plans.
What white label online ordering actually means
White label means the chrome is yours. Domain or branded web experience. Your photography, not a stock pizza under someone else’s header. Your modifiers. A confirmation that reads like the restaurant, not a coupon farm. The guest should be able to tell their spouse “I ordered from Maria’s,” not “I ordered from the app.”
That is the opposite of a marketplace listing. On DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or Slice, the aisle belongs to the platform. Your shop is a card in a grid. Competitors are one tap away. SEO, if any, ranks the marketplace. Your pages do not.
If a vendor cannot show a guest checkout that looks like your restaurant on a URL you control, they are not selling white label online ordering. They are selling a listing with a logo kit.
Guest list, loyalty, and the domain
These three are the reason white label online ordering exists. Marketplaces will rent you a listing. They will not give you the file.
The guest list is the asset
Names, phones, order history, favorites. On a marketplace that relationship is rented. You can sometimes export a sliver. You cannot build a real regulars file if the platform is the address book.
White label online ordering puts accounts on your storefront. Reorder is a tap on your site. Growth Plus adds email, SMS, and push as part of the plan. Even on Standard, ask in writing: if I cancel, do I get the guests?
Loyalty that pays you
Loyalty that pays a marketplace trains the guest to open the marketplace. Loyalty that pays only on your URL trains them to bookmark you. Points, saved orders, a reason to skip the aisle. Online ordering is where MicroSky Food puts accounts and loyalty on the branded site.
The domain you can stamp on a box
Stamp it on the box. Put it on the Google Business Profile order link and the Instagram bio. Marketplace SEO ranks the mall. Your pages, meta, JSON-LD, and sitemap rank you. Growth and Growth Plus add monthly keyword work if you want a person doing that on purpose. If the vendor will not put the storefront on a domain you own, you are still in someone else’s mall.
The checkout test: marketplace vs white label
Open last Tuesday’s online tickets. How many came from an app that also showed three other restaurants? How many came from a URL that is yours? That ratio is the decision, not a homepage adjective.
DoorDash and the other aggregators are discovery machines with a tablet and a take-rate. Slice is the pizza-shaped version. See MicroSky Food vs Slice. We will not print a fee table we did not invoice. Your statements are the source of truth.
White label online ordering wins when the leak is regulars, not strangers. Keep the listing if it still fills Monday. Move the Friday office and the Thursday couple to your button. Dual-channel is how adults switch. A boycott post on Instagram is not a plan.
Siblings, not marketplaces: ChowNow, Owner.com, Toast
ChowNow is widely sold as first-party / white-label restaurant ordering. Same job as this article: branded checkout. Different contract with launch time, processor, and devices. That is the ChowNow alternative. Do not treat ChowNow as DoorDash. It is not.
Owner.com is an AI growth platform (site, SEO, ordering, app, marketing) that usually sits on the POS you already run. Branded, yes. A different buy. Owner.com alternative is the grid.
Toast is a POS ecosystem. Online ordering there is a module on the register religion. If you only needed white label online ordering, a Toast quote is the expensive way to get a URL. Toast POS alternative and the cost piece are that conversation.
Pizzerias with a pie-builder problem (sizes, toppings, half/half, the lunch phone) should also read pizza online ordering software. This post stays on brand, list, and domain.

Move regulars without a boycott
Week one: wizard, menu, test checkout, staff card on your processor. Week two: Google order link, bio, box stamp, loyalty on direct only. Week three: counter script: “fastest on our site.” Leave the marketplace live for guests who only know the app.
Do not announce that you “left DoorDash.” Announce a faster checkout and a point they cannot earn in the aisle. Regulars care about the food and the time. If a quiet month of marketplace fees still beats $250 + 5% after you move the regulars, stay dual-channel and revisit.
The goal of white label online ordering is that the guest remembers your name at the pay screen. If the kitchen cannot see the ticket, that is the other post. If the brand is still someone else’s header, you have not bought white label. You have bought a listing.
